Work Life Balance
You probably know that one of the hardest things that you are going to do in your life is trying to balance your work life and your home life. A study has shown that 94% of working professionals work more than 50 hours per week and there was about half of them that admitted to working more than 65 hours per week. It’s no wonder why people are always suffering from fatigue, depression, and are always confused on what day it is, or forgetting who your family is. Work life balance coaches have come up with a list of tips to make balancing your work life and your home life a lot easier. Here are 3 tips to use to make things easier for you.
- Stop being a perfectionist! – There are a lot of people that are considered to be overachievers and as a kid they develop this bad habit of being a perfectionist because they are trying to balance school life, their hobbies, some of them even have an after school job to balance. For most of them it’s easy as a kid to balance all of those things but once you grow up into an adult, life becomes a lot more complicated with trying to balance your work life and if your family continues to grow those perfectionist habits can blow up in your face. Basically what is being said is to stop trying to do everything perfect and then you will be able to make both your work life and your home life a lot easier.
- Unplug yourself from the Technology World – As technology improves such things like cellphones, tablets, laptops, and several other things always keep going, so it seems like work will never end. There is a real simple solution to this problem, turn off everything and enjoy things around you like your family and breath the fresh air. You have to learn when it’s time to shut everything down and pay attention to what’s most important in your life.
- Take Time For Yourself – When times get tough and stressful, take time for yourself and either exercise or meditate. Exercising relieves stress in a big way because it gets your heart pumping and gives you a boost of energy, whether it’s a nice jog around the block or strength training, take time for you. Another thing that helps with stress is meditation. Meditating will help you clear your mind and be able to focus better which will make things easier.
These are just a few tips that you should implement into your life to make things easier. Over time it gets easier, and you will have finally balanced both of your lives. Remember two things, take time for yourself and always remember the important things in life, your family.
