Studies have been done to put a figure on the financial costs of stress. Since this figure contains infinite variables a dollar figure has not been assigned. A financial cost does exist, with the lack of attention to detail caused by an inability to focus, many people have been known to skip work, make poor financial decisions, and have increased medical expenses.

Stress is known as the mental pressure added to a person through various outlets. Because stress is unique to people it is unknown how to control it. What would cause stress to one person may actually bring joy to another. There are several things that can cause stress some of those are starting a new business, having an unhealthy work-life balance, family troubles, or a little of everything all at the same time.

There is a physical cost associated with stress. Victims lose focus and many suffer from tension headaches that can last up to 15 days out of the month.
